Story Collection Pre-Order

Subterranean Press has just made my upcoming short story collection available for pre-order. The book is due for release in April 07, but you can reserve a copy today.

The photo at the top is blown fireweed from before our first snowfall a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure why I'm into posting nature snapshots here lately, but I am, so deal with it.

Congratulations, David! I'm glad to see this project went forward so quickly for you ("quickly" being relative to the glacial speeds of modern publishing). I just ordered a copy and will be looking forward to next April.

Hey David! Congratulations. If you get a chance please email me a type of news release to get in the FAA Newsletter. We are working on the November edition right now.

Thanks,

Great news about the collection, I'm looking forward to it. By the way, with Xmas coming, is there a pb of Counting Heads scheduled?

I really like the nature photos, please keep it up.

So the snowfalls have started in Fairbanks, here in Sydney we've been told to expect a three day heat wave (32C/90F) starting today, before more normal low to mid 20s spring weather returns (for a while anyway).

Spring weather would be nice, but not in the 90s, no thank you.

I've been told that the Counting Heads paperback won't be out till July 07. I don't know how they calculate those things; I'd originally been told it would be out in Fall, 06. Sorry about that.

David,

On the Subterranean Press website, it says that the limited edition will include a chapbook. What are the contents of the chapbook? Thanks!

Andrew, the chapbook will contain the oddball of my published stories, the only one that's not SF. It's the story, "She Was Good--She Was Funny" that appeared in Playboy magazine.

David,

Just wanted to drop by and say that Counting Head was fecking great! Keep 'em coming, PLEASE - we really need more of this kind of character driven, idea driven, non-linear plot driven kind of work in science fiction.
