Launching my story collection

This week I launch my debut short story collection, Getting to Know You. I'll be at the Fairbanks Barnes & Noble on Friday, May 11, 7-9 pm and then on Thursday May 17, I'll be at the Fairbanks Gulliver's Bookstore from 6-8 pm.

The only story I seem to have of just the right length for a public reading is "Yurek Rutz, Yurek Rutz, Yurek Rutz." But I've read that one a number of times locally and won't subject the public to it again. Instead, I think I'll give a sampler of openings. I'll read the first seven minutes of three separate stories.

Hope to see you there.

My long-awaited copy of your book finally arrived last week, and I'm very much looking forward to reading it. Good luck with the launch, and with sales figures!

Can the public have a progress report on the new book, by any chance?

When my copy showed up last week I went to Gulliver's to flaunt it. They gently pointed out that they had a whole shelf of your new book. I rallied with the fact that mine is signed. They riposted with the information that you'd be there signing on the 17th. I admitted I'd be out of town on the 17th, so I wouldn't be able to be there. I believe we called it a draw.

Anyway, I'm enjoying the stories immensely. Thanks for all your hard work.

David - I read the back flap first and got a little smile when I read your words. I have always loved you sense of humor. Then I read the dedication. I love you bro.
You are sooooo cool. I chuckled and weeped at the same time.
