MOS release date

Tor sent me the copyedited manuscript of Mind Over Ship, and I've spent the last two weeks working on it. It's my last chance to fix problems and do a bit of polishing.

I received word from Tor that MOS will be released January 20, 2009, less than nine months from now.

Can't wait. I enjoyed your last one. I even got it autographed while you were in Anchorage. Sadly I no longer live in Anchorage so I probably can't repeat that...

Looking forward to it. I've recently finished 'Counting Heads' and was very impressed with the range of original ideas in it.

Oops, gotta go, my computer is haranguing me to buy it more paste.

Can't wait. I'll buy it as soon as it hits the shelf. Counting Heads was great (it was my Christmas gift to myself last year).

Im eagerly awaiting MOS too, David. That manuscript looks HUGE though! Is this going to be bigger than Counting Heads?

David Marusek said...

No, smaller, only 116,000 words compared to 185,000 words of CH. Manuscripts just look big, what with wide margins and double spacing.

Waiting with baited breath. :)

Do you know yet if Tor will be releasing advanced reader copies of mind over ship? I work in a book store and had some success hand-selling Counting Heads, and would like to review the new one for our newsletter.

Tor has its own criteria for sending out ARCs. All I can do is pass your contact info to my publicist there (so email me your contact info).
