If you're in the Fairbanks, Alaska area this Saturday afternoon, stop by Gulliver's Books on College Rd. and help me launch my second novel,
Mind Over Ship. It's a science fictional romp through a scary future, and it's the sequel to my first novel,
Counting Heads. I'll be there from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and I'd love to meet all of you sf readers in Interior Alaska.

David, Congrats on the book, I think I enjoyed it even more than CH's. Is Tor planning any other appearances/signings outside of Alaska for you?
@Mike--thanks for the good word. As to appearances, while I'm open to opportunities, I have no plans to tour this book at this time. Sorry. On the positive side, this is turning out to be a very productive winter, and I'm writing like crazy.
I would guess Alaska during winter would be conducive to writing. One of these days I have got to get up there. Did you get your friends cabin again- and are you working on the fantasy novel (I think you had mentioned) or the follow-up to MOS?
Well I'm sure Tor will soon enough have you traversing the country. But until then, any chance you are open to me sending my books to you for you to sign?
@Mike the fantasy story seems to have become horror, along the lines of VTV I think.
Sure, I'll sign your books. Send me an email (david@marusek.com) and I'll send you my mailing addy.
Just a note to say I checked in to see when the book was being released. I'm glad to see it's now available. Counting Heads was an exceptionally canny and well-written book.
